Connect Karou to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor
Karou is an MCP server. You add it once to the AI you use, and from then on “make me a carousel” comes back as finished slides in the chat. This guide walks through each app.
Claude.ai, desktop and mobile
Claude signs in to your Karou account; there is no key to paste.
- Create a free account at karou.si and set your password from the welcome email.
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Karou and paste
https://karou.si/mcpas the URL. - Click Connect, sign in to Karou and choose Allow.
The connector follows your account, so it works in the desktop and mobile apps too.
ChatGPT
- Open Settings → Connectors (on some plans, developer mode has to be on).
- Add a custom MCP server named Karou with the URL
https://karou.si/mcpand authentication set to OAuth. - Sign in to Karou and choose Allow.
Claude Code
Create a key on the Connect page, then run once:
claude mcp add --transport http karou https://karou.si/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer kru_live_…"
Cursor and VS Code
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (Cursor) or .vscode/mcp.json (VS Code), with the key from the Connect page:
{ "mcpServers": { "karou": { "url": "https://karou.si/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer kru_live_…" } } } }
The first prompt
Start a new chat and ask:
Make me an Instagram carousel with Karou: 5 slides on the three pricing mistakes I made with my first ebook. Use the bold template.
The AI writes a hook slide, one idea per slide and a closing slide, calls Karou, and shows you the thumbnails with a ZIP of PNGs and a PDF. Want a change? Say “make slide 3 shorter” and it re-renders the same carousel.
Every carousel is kept in your account under Carousels, and every call shows up under Usage.
